Who can see my posts?

You decide per post and in your privacy settings who can see your contributions.

For every post you pick one of four reaches under Who can see this.

  • Everyone — public, including people without an account.
  • Followers only — the people who follow you.
  • Only me — nobody else.
  • Members of a community — only members of the communities you tick.

"Community" is not a private channel

That last choice narrows your reach, but it is not private: a community is public, anyone can see who its members are and join it themselves. If you have something confidential to share, use a direct message — it is the only channel on Debaty that reaches nobody but the people you write to.

Defaults and exceptions

In Settings › Privacy you set who can see your profile and your posts by default; you can depart from that per bubble. Do not want to run into someone anymore? You can block or mute that person.
