Managing notifications
Choose per notification type whether you want it in-app, by email, or as a push.
You decide which notifications you get and through which channel. Go to Settings › Notifications.
Per event, per channel
Every type of notification has three channels:
- In-app — your overview in the app. This is the list itself, so it stays on for nearly everything.
- Email — on or off.
- Push — on or off.
Types of notifications
Reactions to your bubbles, Mentions, Replies, New followers, Friend requests, Direct messages, Today's question, Daily question day close, Your debate day (digest email), Your Daily Dive is ready (email), Security, Payments and invoices, Moderation decisions, Scheduled posts and Milestones. For the debate-day email you also choose how often you want it: daily or weekly.
What is fixed
Three kinds reach you by email no matter what. Security, because it is about who is doing something with your account. Payments and invoices, because an invoice is a legal document. And Moderation decisions, because the statement of reasons is a legal notice.
Milestones are fixed the other way round: you only ever see them in the app, and they never become an email or a push. Your in-app notifications themselves are read under Notifications.
