Block, mute or report?
Blocking and muting are for you; reporting is for moderation. They are separate.
These three do different things:
- Mute — you no longer see someone, without them noticing.
- Block — you no longer see each other anywhere. The other person can no longer follow or approach you either. Blocks and mutes are managed in Settings › Blocks. Lifting them happens only there.
- Report — you flag content to moderation because it breaks the rules.
Blocking and muting are personal choices and change nothing for others. Reporting starts a review by a moderator.
