Minors and age (16+)
Debaty is for ages 16 and up. How the age check works, and how to report someone who seems too young.
Debaty is intended for people 16 years and older.
At registration
You enter your date of birth when you create an account. Debaty checks once whether you are old enough. After that we do not keep the date — only that we checked it.
Reporting someone who seems too young
Think someone is under 16?
- Open the ⋯ menu on a bubble or profile.
- Choose Report.
- Pick the reason Suspected minor (under 16).
A moderator looks at your report. We ask for confirmation before anything happens to the account. Read the full policy in the Minors policy and the moderation policy.
