How the timeline works
Three tabs, a glass-box algorithm, and "Why am I seeing this?" on every post. Nothing is a black box.
Your timeline has three tabs at the top:
- For you — a mix of people and topics you follow, plus the occasional good conversation from outside your network.
- Chronological — everything you follow, newest first, no ranking.
- Friends — only posts from your mutual friends.
Always explainable
On a recommended post you can tap Why am I seeing this?. You then see exactly which signal (a person, a topic, a friend) put it there. We keep it a glass box: no hidden ranking, no selling of your attention.
Steering it yourself
- Set your default tab and adjust the weight of signals under Tuning your timeline.
- Make custom tabs for a topic, a hashtag, a community, a debate or a list.
