Badges and achievements

Marks next to a name and gentle milestones: what they mean and how you earn them.

Next to a name you may see small badges (seals). They stand for identity or a role — not for status.

What a badge means

Tap or hover a seal. An explanation opens with the badge name at the top, what it means, and under How do you get it? how you earn it. For example:

  • Verified — you have verified your identity.
  • Domain verified — your own site links back to your Debaty profile. That happens automatically, with no human in the loop.
  • Politician, Journalist and Organisation — the Debaty team grants these after checking an official source. You can request one via contact.
  • Role badges for moderators and the team.

Achievements and milestones

Debaty celebrates a few gentle moments, such as ∆ Changed a mind — when someone indicates that your argument changed their view. That is different from a reaction: it truly counts the times you convinced someone. These milestones are deliberately modest: you only ever see them in the app, and they never become an email or a push. Debaty is about the conversation, not scoring points.
